Job description

The Advanced Program supervisor is responsible for Programs starting with the cost study from the program is handed over after P-Release.  The role works with a multi-functional team (Equipment, Conveyors, IE, Plants, IE, MP&L).  Early in the Development phases, the position coordinates the studies for FAE and the follow-up on the program deliverables to make sure all of them are being tracked and implemented. Management tools like GMOD and others are used to deliver efficient cost studies and processes, including the discrete simulation for all Plants. The Advanced Program supervisor is responsible for overall program strategy, cost required to deliver the new program, cycle line layout coordination, simulations/throughput analysis. 

What you'll do:

  • Manage all aspects of the cost studies. From support pre <MR> studies until lead final costs from <PS> to <PA>
  • Ensure all milestones are met on time and within the quality targets
  • Work with counterparts in MSAP, MP&L, and IE to quickly resolve issues and align strategies 
  • Deliver studies that meet all GAP, SBOP, SBOD, and Modularity requirements
  • Make sure the teams are incorporating new technologies and automation to improve FTT and Quality Metrics
  • Coordinate all CAFM requirements to make sure these assets are the priority to be included in the requests
  • Responsible for making sure all program metrics and dashboards are updated, reflecting the latest status. Take action if programs are falling behind  
  • Support the GME Engineering Deep Dives by presenting programs, physicals, costs, and opportunities/risk list 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • B.S. Engineering degree required
  • 5 years+ experience in Final Assembly Process & Tooling Development   
  • Extensive knowledge of the Final Assembly Process

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree
  • Working knowledge of Ford Procedures, Cost Studies, Discrete Simulation, Throughput Analysis, Business, and Strategies
  • Prior launch experience and/or PMT subsystem leadership on a launch 
  • Leadership communication skills are consistent with reporting out to the Director and VP-level leadership. 
  • Able to deal with an ambiguous situation
  • Soft skills to manage areas that are not in his report structure  
  • Storing telling skills
