Liquid Personnel are currently working exclusively alongside our esteemed client in the East Midlands to recruit for an Advanced Practitioner to join their Child Protection and Permanency team. Duties of a Child protection and permanence Advanced Practitioner:

  • To work as part of the team delivering services to Children In Need/In Need of Protection as part of an integrated service delivering high quality services with families and carers.
  • To mentor and supervise other social workers and social work assistants.
  • To lean on and role model exceptional social work values and practice, supporting the development of others within the service.
  • To be responsible for and hold a number of complex cases and ensure children are safeguarded as well as promoting and role modelling good social work practice.

Key requirements for the role
To apply for the post, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Current SWE registration and valid right to work in the UK
  • Have completed your ASYE and significant post qualified experience in Child Protection and Care Planning
  • UK driving licence
  • Knowledge of Child-care legislation
  • Skilled in the management of risk and assessment of children's needs
  • Great communication skills, able to explain complicated information simply
  • Knowledge of the issues that affect parenting capacity and the impact of deprivation on child development
  • Experience of Signs of Safety methodology
