MUSC Health is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our Inpatient Cardiology team on a PRN basis. This is an exceptional opportunity to practice at the top of your license alongside a nationally recognized cardiovascular team while caring for a diverse and complex inpatient cardiac population.

As a valued member of the Heart & Vascular team, you will play a critical role in the management of patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions, working collaboratively with cardiologists, nurses, and multidisciplinary specialists to deliver outstanding, patient-centered care. Whether managing heart failure, arrhythmias, ischemic heart disease, or post-procedural cardiac patients, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes every day.

This PRN position offers 12-hour shifts with a minimum commitment of 24 hours per month, providing flexibility while maintaining consistent engagement with a high-performing clinical team. About MUSC Health – Columbia Medical Center Downtown:

MUSC Health Columbia Medical Center Downtown is a full-service, acute care hospital located in Columbia, South Carolina, serving as a cornerstone of MUSC’s Midlands Division. Required Qualifications:

• Advanced Practice Provider: Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)

• Board certified and licensed (or eligible) in South Carolina

• Experience in cardiology, cardiovascular surgery, or critical care preferred

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment

• Strong procedural, clinical, and communication skills

Position Highlights:

• Provide PRN clinical support across inpatient cardiology and procedural settings.

• Assist with the evaluation and management of a broad spectrum of cardiovascular conditions, including coronary, heart failure, electrophysiology, and structural heart populations.

• Participate in pre-procedural assessments, inpatient management, peri-procedural care, and post-procedural follow-up as appropriate.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary cardiovascular teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.
