Adult Softball Umpire

This position requires you to be a good communicator keeping the environment safe and fun! Umpires hired for this position are able to manage games in a firm but professional way, especially in intense situations.&nbsp;<br><br>Must have full knowledge of all rules/policies/procedures/codes of conduct for adult slowpitch softball leagues and upon hire, be able to pass a written test on these rules. Other duties include attending staff meetings, following Apex Park and Recreation District policies and procedures and able to respond appropriately to all emergency situations. Assist in setup of field including raking, setting bases, Lastly, being available to cover a shift on short notice, when needed, is invaluable. Hours: Games are held Monday - Friday from 6pm -10:30 pm. <ul><li>Must be at least 18 years of age.</li><li>Have a background in slowpitch softball.</li><li>Umpires will be required to keep score on a electric scoreboard.</li></ul><ul><li><undefined>At least one year of umpiring bat and ball sports.<br></undefined></li><li><undefined>Knowledge of USA and USSSA slow pitch rules helpful but not mandatory.&nbsp;<br></undefined></li></ul><ul><li><undefined>Work may take place in both indoor and outdoor environments, with exposure to varying weather conditions including sun, heat, cold, snow, and humidity.<br></undefined></li><li><undefined>Ability to work most of the day on your feet, performing both active supervision and hands-on tasks.<br></undefined></li></ul><undefined><strong>Physical Activity(s):</strong><br></undefined><ul><li><undefined>Ability to work most of the day on your feet, performing both active supervision and hands-on tasks.<br></undefined></li></ul>
