Admissions Coordinator (Full-Time)

Riverwalk Post Acute

Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour, DOE

Riverwalk Post Acute is seeking a highly organized, customer-focused Admissions Coordinator to join our team. This role is essential in creating a positive first impression for residents, families, referral partners, and healthcare professionals while ensuring a smooth and efficient admissions process.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment, and possesses excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage the admissions process from referral through admission
  • Review referral information for accuracy and completeness
  • Communicate with hospitals, physicians, case managers, and referral sources to facilitate admissions
  • Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary documentation
  • Collaborate with clinical and interdisciplinary teams to ensure appropriate resident placements
  • Conduct facility tours for prospective residents and families
  • Maintain accurate admission records and census information
  • Follow up on pending referrals and inquiries
  • Assist with marketing and community outreach efforts as assigned
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility admission requirements

Qualifications

  • Previous admissions, healthcare intake, business development, or skilled nursing experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medi-Cal, managed care, and insurance verification processes preferred
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to work effectively with residents, families, hospital partners, and facility staff
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic medical record systems
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in healthcare administration or related field is a plus
