The Department of Occupational Therapy Programs is now accepting applications for part-time adjunct professors for the Master of Science in Occupational Therapy program and the Undergraduate Pre-Occupational program.

Job Description:
The Department of Occupational Therapy Programs is seeking candidates for course development and teaching positions in occupational therapy. Responsibilities begin immediately for course development and recording. Teaching responsibilities begin in Summer 2025.

Courses Needed:

Assessment in Occupational Therapy
Interventions in Occupational Therapy
Pediatrics Foundations in Occupational Therapy
Adult/Geriatric Rehabilitation Foundations in Occupational Therapy
Quantitative Research for Evidence-Based Practice
Qualitative Research for Evidence-Based Practice
Preventative Care and Wellness
Advocacy and Leadership
Clinical Applications - Orthopedics, Modalities, and Assistive Technology

Responsibilities: 
• Provide instruction in occupational therapy on a variety of subjects in an online, in-person, and/or lab format.
• Develop course content including instructional videos, learning activities, and assessments in alignment with Program Learning Outcomes and ACOTE Standards.
• Provide feedback to students via online learning activities and assessment of assignments submitted through the Learning Management System (i.e., Canvas) 
• Demonstrate excellent communication, accountability, and initiative, along with a strong Christian commitment and interest in the integration of faith with learning.
• Demonstrate a commitment to being accessible to the faculty and students.
• Successful candidates will work strategically with diverse colleagues, students, and community members. 

Qualifications: 
• Education: minimum of a  Master of Science/Arts in Occupational Therapy or in the field of expertise related to course content (terminal degree preferred).
• Current certification/license in the area of expertise in the state of CA.
• Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Individuals must possess knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the essential function of the position, or be able to explain or demonstrate how the essential functions may be performed, with or without, reasonable accommodations, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
• Possess a commitment to high-quality instruction in an in-person or online student-centered conservative Christian environment.
• Proficient computer, online, and learning management system skills. Must have access to a computer that can support access to online learning platforms and materials.
