Adjunct Lecturer - Paramedicine

[What the role is]

This adjunct position offers an opportunity for practicing professionals to educate and mentor the next generation of paramedics on a flexible, part-time basis. As a subject matter expert, you will be responsible for delivering theoretical knowledge and practical skills across various diploma levels, ensuring the curriculum remains grounded in current industry standards. Beyond classroom instruction, this role focuses on shaping the professional character of students through targeted mentorship and the modelling of ethical conduct.

[What you will be working on]

• Deliver lectures, conduct tutorials, and facilitate discussions for pre-hospital emergency care modules at diploma and advanced diploma levels.
• Impart theoretical knowledge with an emphasis on practical applications in both civilian and/or military contexts.
• Conduct practical evaluations, and assessments to measure learners’ proficiency and understanding of paramedic concepts.
• Stay updated on the latest developments in emergency medical services and incorporate current practices and technologies into the program.
• Instil values of professionalism, compassion, and ethical conduct in learners.
• Work alongside colleagues, industry professionals, and healthcare organizations to improve the relevance of the educational experience.
• Maintain a commitment to personal and professional development regarding medical practices and teaching methodologies.

[What we are looking for]

• Relevant Paramedicine qualifications.
• Qualifications from overseas paramedic programs will also be considered.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in emergency ambulance services in Singapore, with a demonstrated understanding of real-world scenarios.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities to effectively convey complex concepts and facilitate learning.
• Strong skills in building positive, collaborative relationships with students, colleagues, and industry professionals.
• An effective planner capable of sequencing learning to successfully build student knowledge and skills.
• The ability to serve as a role model through a high level of professionalism in appearance, conduct, and communication.
