Health Care Accounting and Billing: This course introduces learners to the fundamental principles of finance, accounting, and budgeting within the context of the health care industry. Learners examine the various business units, roles, and structures involved in health care planning, budgeting, and accounting. Financial measurements and data analytics for managing costs and productivity are also explored.

GCU Main Campus – Phoenix, AZ

• In-person, on-campus instruction
• Terms:
  • Fall 2026 Semester (09/08/2026 – 12/20/2026)
  • Spring 2027 Semester (01/04/2027 – 04/25/2027)

• Facilitate classroom instruction and discussions
• Engage students in achieving course learning outcomes
• Assess student performance and provide feedback
• Incorporate current industry knowledge and best practices into teaching
• Support the mission and values of Grand Canyon University

What You Will Bring

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master's degree in one of the following:
  • Health Care Administration (MHCA)
  • Health Administration (MHA)
  • Public Administration (MPA)
  • Business Administration (MBA)
  • Nursing (MSN)

AND

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in health care management, administration, or health care accounting and billing within one or more of the following settings:
  • Hospital or acute care
  • Managed care
  • Ambulatory care or physician group practice
  • Long-term care
