Adjunct - English Writing Program

Instructor of English Writing


The English Writing Program (EWP) at Biola University is accepting applications for part-time writing instructors, to begin August 2026. Courses are taught in person and may include ENGL 313, an upper-division writing-in-the-disciplines course; ENGL112, a first-year critical thinking and writing course; and ENGL100, a stretch-model writing course that includes mentoring teaching assistants. The EWP is committed to cultivating diversity and the integration of faith and learning.

 

Education and Experience Required

Candidates are required to have at least an MA in hand by the beginning of the Fall 2026 semester; candidates with a terminal degree (MFA or PhD) are preferred. Candidates with prior teaching experience, including graduate instruction, in rhetoric and composition are also preferred.
