The Daily Journal is California's largest legal affairs news provider. We are dedicated to providing timely and insightful coverage of legal developments throughout the state. We are seeking a meticulous and organized Legal Advertising Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling legal notices, typesetting, proofreading, and providing exceptional customer service. This role involves processing various probate, civil, government and business notices, managing customer inquiries, and supporting multiple administrative functions. 

Responsibilities:

·       Gather and collect Fictitious Business Names (FBN) and mail letters to new FBN customers

·       Handle and Name changes, and other such legal notices for customers, providing tear sheets to customers regularly and as needed.  

·       Schedule and Name changes, and other such legal notices for publication in different newspapers, including our back-office publications. 

·       Assist walk-in customers requiring assistance with processing name changes, and other such legal notices, providing exceptional customer service throughout the process. 

·       Process payments for customers daily, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established procedures. 

·       Occasionally process government notices as needed, maintaining attention to detail and adherence to deadlines. 

 

Requirements:

·       Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. 

·       Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach. 

·       Detail-oriented and able to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment. 

·       Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software applications. 

·       Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. 

·       Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities. 

·       Experience in processing payments and handling customer inquiries preferred.
