Milliman’s Dubai Practice is looking to appoint an experienced Mid to Actuarial Analyst . You will be working with some of the most experienced, most capable people in the health industry. You will support the development and delivery of a diverse range of consulting activities across multiple countries in the Middle East including pricing and reserving, development and review of mandatory benefit packages, and implementation of value-based reimbursement mechanisms, including DRGs.

 Key responsibilities

  • Perform actuarial analysis and modelling on healthcare data.
  • Development and analysis of experience studies and actuarial assumptions.
  • Write reports that explain technical concepts clearly to a non-technical audience.
  • Prepare and present results and recommendations to clients for consideration.
  • Liaising with key client contacts to obtain required data and information to deliver project requirements.
  • Support other actuarial students in the completion of technical aspects of actuarial projects.
  • Ensure adherence to Milliman’s policies and processes throughout all activities.

 

Educational requirements

  • An undergraduate degree pursuing actuarial science, mathematics, or another major with quantitative course work
  • Associate or Part qualified actuary, with strong progress with Actuarial exams.
  • Outstanding academic record
  • Strong IT skills particularly in MS Office (Excel, Powerpoint etc.) and any statistical analysis tools (SAS, SQL, R, etc)

Experience and skill requirements.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of actuarial experience with a substantial part of the experience in health-related work
  • Superior math aptitude and strong analytical ability
  • Experience with reserving and pricing techniques for health insurance products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated individual with a sense of intellectual curiosity and a results-oriented work ethic.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
