Job Summary:
Independence American Insurance Company (IAIC) is seeking an Actuarial Analyst who will analyze and evaluate the likelihood of future events to reduce and manage future financial risks.
Job Location: Hybrid
Main Responsibilities:
Completes and interprets actuarial analysis, valuations, cost estimates, and modeling using mathematics, statistical programming, and financial theory.
Assists with the completion of rate filing documents for all states.
Researches rate filings, as needed.
Maintains and updates existing models, tools, and other files used for analysis.
May prepare reserving, forecasting, rate filings, pricing analysis, and experience reports for review.
Completes ad hoc reporting, as necessary.
Completes appropriate database work, as necessary.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Math, Finance, Actuarial Science, Economics, Accounting, Computer Information Systems, other quantitative field, or equivalent work experience (One-year relevant experience is equivalent to one-year college)
2 years’ relevant experience
Licenses/Certifications: Must have passed Two+ Actuarial Exams
