About the Organization
Now is a great time to join Redhorse Corporation. We are a solution-driven company delivering data insights and technology solutions to customers with missions critical to U.S. national interests. We’re looking for thoughtful, skilled professionals who thrive as trusted partners building technology-agnostic solutions and want to apply their talents supporting customers with difficult and important mission sets.

About the Role

Redhorse is transforming how the Department of Defense (DoD) utilizes data and technology. We are seeking an Acquisition & Sustainment Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition & Sustainment (OUSD(A&S)). In this role, you will provide vital input and coordination to the team’s data and analytics products, ensuring stakeholders are aligned and outcomes directly support DoD decision-making and investment priorities.
This is a high-impact role focused on execution, coordination, and delivery excellence, with significant opportunity to influence how intelligent data products are developed, deployed, and scaled across the DoD.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate as a key member in the end-to-end delivery for a prototype cross-functional team, ensuring milestones, timelines, and outcomes align with DoD objectives.
  • Serve as the primary subject matter expert coordinating across stakeholders, product managers, data scientists, engineers, and designers to inform on context engineering and drive execution.
  • Translate mission needs and stakeholder priorities into clear delivery plans, roadmaps, and execution strategies.
  • Partner with design and technical leads to ensure user needs are incorporated.
  • Support efforts to ensure delivery practices align with government standards, security requirements, and accessibility guidelines.

Required Experience/Clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Technology, Engineering, or related discipline).
  • 10+ years of experience across any type of acquisition and sustainment portfolios.
  • Demonstrated success participating in cross-functional teams, preferably within government or defense environments.
  • Strong understanding of data visualization.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience briefing senior leaders.
  • Experience working in agile environments.
  • Secret clearance required to start.
The salary range provided for this position represents the anticipated base salary for successful candidates. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, education, certifications, skills, security clearance level, geographic location, market conditions, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may participate in Redhorse's comprehensive benefits programs and may be eligible for performance-based or other incentive compensation, where applicable.
