We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our Finance Team and support the day-to-day financial operations of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Process supplier and subcontractor invoices accurately and efficiently
- Verify invoice coding, approvals, purchase orders, and supporting documentation
- Raise and process customer invoices
- Maintain accurate financial records and accounting data
- Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
- Prepare and post accounting journals
- Support month-end and year-end accounting processes
- Assist with subcontractor ledger management
- Process employee expense claims and reimbursements
- Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analysis
- Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal departments
Requirements
Excellent written and spoken English (essential)
Previous experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or a similar role
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Professional, reliable, and proactive approach to work
Desirable Experience
- Experience working within an international business environment
- Previous experience in the UK or supporting UK-based companies
- Knowledge of UK accounting practices, CIS, or the construction industry
- Experience using accounting software packages
