About the Role

We’re looking for an Accounting Manager to own the month-end close process and raise the bar on the accuracy and rigor of our GL accounting. You’ll manage a team of three accountants, review their work, and roll up your sleeves to help build out more complex reconciliations as the business scales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and drive the month-end close process end-to-end, ensuring deadlines are met and the close calendar stays on track

  • Review journal entries prepared by the accounting team for accuracy, completeness, and proper support

  • Review account reconciliations, ensuring discrepancies are identified, explained, and resolved timely

  • Partner with team members to design and build out more complex reconciliations, including process documentation and templates

  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of 3 accountants; provide regular feedback and support career growth

  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase close efficiency and reduce risk

  • Serve as a point of escalation for accounting questions and judgment calls from the team

  • Partner with the Assistant Controller on technical accounting matters, audit prep, and ad hoc projects

  • Ensure GL activity is properly supported and compliant with US GAAP

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including prior experience reviewing the work of others

  • Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and month-end close processes

  • Experience managing or mentoring a team preferred

  • Proficiency with GL systems (e.g., NetSuite) and Excel required

  • CPA a plus, not required

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced startup environment
