We are looking for an Accounting Control and Investigation Officer to join the Listed Derivatives Transactions Processing team. This role plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of accounting data, through reconciliations between transaction systems and the accounting system, as well as the investigation and resolution of accounting and operational anomalies. The role involves close collaboration with several operational departments and reporting to stakeholders and management, taking local specificities into account and adopting a proactive approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure accounting reconciliations between transaction system data and the accounting system;
  • Analyze and justify discrepancies between System Operation (SO) and accounting records;
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve accounting and operational anomalies generated by SO;
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement and optimization of daily tasks;
  • Support Management in the development of Power BI solutions and Artificial Intelligence tools;
  • Interact with internal and external entities to obtain additional information for unidentified entries;
  • Maintain effective communication channels with internal business teams;
  • Escalate unresolved open items to the Team Leader;
  • Understand the risks inherent to daily activities and the existing control framework, proposing and implementing corrective actions together with the Team Leader;
  • Develop and improve reconciliations using advanced Excel and macros;
  • Prepare reports and respond to investigation and ITO requests.

 

    Education

    • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or Business Management.

    Technical Skills

    • Solid knowledge of Accounting and Financial Markets;
    • Experience as a Power BI Developer;
    • Experience with AI tools;
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Excel and macros.

    Languages

    • English: Expert / Advanced level.
