Job description:

This position will support accounting requirements under GAAP SOX and all other authoritative guidance published by FASB, AICPA, SEC and the PCAOB

Requirements include:

Working knowledge of government contractor accounting/finance activities.

Experience working in systems, working knowledge of accounting systems and the interrelationships of the GL (General Ledger) with sub-ledgers and other modules, including job cost, fixed assets and accounts payable

Experienced with journal entries, account analysis and resolving inaccuracies and issues

Work with varying levels of employees, both inside and outside the accounting department

Provide hands on knowledge and support for projects – perform reconcilements, resolve issues, execute corrections/adjustments

Qualifications:

BS/BA degree in Business, Accounting or Finance with a minimum of 5 years total related work experience.

Must be a team player who is detail-oriented, flexible and willing to work in a dynamic environment.

Good organization, communication, analytical, problem-solving, leadership and customer service skills are required.

Advanced MS Excel (reference formulas and pivot tables), Office, Outlook, Word

Preferred Additional Experience:

JAMIS, Infinium and PeopleSoft Accounting Software

Business Objects, Showcase or other similar data mining applications
