Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Run monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing processes in close collaboration with company management and controlling.
  • Create and deliver accurate financial reports and relevant KPIs to company management.
  • Report all tax-relevant information and financial transactions to Greek state authorities.
  • Be actively involved in internal and external audits.
  • Ensure full compliance with Greek legislation and international accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP)
  • Safeguard segregation of duties within the accounting function.
  • Handle invoice verification to ensure accuracy and legitimacy of purpose.
  • Manage all accounting interactions and transactions within SAP.
  • Perform customer and vendor reconciliations.
  • Manage debtor, supplier, asset, and general ledger functions.
  • Support credit management processes in coordination with the Credit Manager

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Relevant working experience in accounting is a must
  • Solid knowledge of Greek accounting legislation and international accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP)
  • Hands-on experience with SAP (preferably)
  • Experience in digital transformation or paperless accounting initiatives is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills in Greek and English
  • Experience in audit processes and tax reporting

The position offers a base compensation of 1600 - 1800 EUR monthly. Compensation for this position will be determined by the candidate's qualifications, experience, education, and overall alignment with the role's responsibilities.
