​Title: Accountant
Location: Las Vegas, NV
Duration: 3+ months



KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:
-Performs daily, weekly, and monthly accounting processes to properly record and classify financial transactions for RCM
-Prepares month-end journal entries to record transactions to the financial statements.
-Assists Senior Accountants with any research of monthly journal entry related questions.
-Prepare client invoice for specified billing terms per the contractual agreement.
-Monitor aging of receivables and follow-up with client regarding any past due balances.
-Demonstrates superior customer service for both internal and external customers.
-Works closely with operation departments to ensure internal compliance guidelines are followed.
-Develop and implement best practices in all areas of RCM


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Four year college graduate with a major in Accounting or equivalent preferred.


One to two years of accounting or related experience, preferably in the gaming and/or hotel industry.



QUALIFICATIONS:

-Knowledge of computer software such as Microsoft Office


-Familiarity of state regulations


-Familiarity with generally accepted accounting principles GAAP.


-Excellent communication skills written and verbal.


-Ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet assigned deadlines as required


-Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business



WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Positions that have contact with the public require the ability to work in a noisy environment, and may be exposed to guests who use tobacco products. Also, non-public contact positions may be required to enter public areas from time to time, in connection with their duties, and may be subject to the same environment.
