Finance & Control department in Circle K Business Centre in Riga, Latvia is a part of Global Finance organization and responsible for full accounting and financial reporting cycle for Circle K European operations. Circle K Business Centre in Riga, Latvia is looking for a new team player, who would like to join our team as:

Accountant

Type of Employment: Temporary position for 1 year

Location: Riga, Latvia 

Visa requirements: A valid work permit from the EU/EEA (relocation assistance is not provided) 

WHAT YOU'LL DO 

• Respond to queries from site managers, business unit (BU) representatives and external partners as required

• Check, prepare and process journal entries based on information received from BU and other partners

• Answer inquiries from other company units regarding processed financial records

• Perform periodic closing procedures

• Perform balance sheet account reconciliation and analysis, resolve discrepancies and errors

• Perform stock accounts reconciliation, investigate discrepancies in categories

• Prepare invoices for franchises 

• Handle audit requests

• Execute and document process controls related to financial compliance

• Contribute to process improvement projects

WHAT YOU'LL NEED 

• Degree in accounting, economics or finance field

• Previous experience in accounting, finance or audit field is an advantage

• Excellent knowledge of MS Office and willingness to learn new systems

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently

• Analytical skills and ability to investigate discrepancies 

• Fluent English language skills to communicate with colleagues in Europe
