Job description

Are you motivated by building strong customer relationships, driving sales, and working with technical solutions that make a real difference? Join Johnson Controls and help shape safer, smarter buildings.

We’re expanding our Fire Suppression team in Oslo, Norway and are looking for a proactive Account Manager to strengthen our presence in the market.

You will be at the forefront of our growth strategy—identifying, developing, and closing new opportunities within fire suppression solutions. While managing selected key accounts, your primary focus will be on building a robust pipeline and expanding our footprint in the Norwegian market.

You will:

  • Manage and grow existing customer relationships
  • Identify new sales opportunities
  • Collaborate closely with consultants to define optimal sprinkler solutions
  • Drive upselling by proposing value-adding, efficient systems
  • Develop strategic account plans for key customers
  • Stay ahead of market trends and contribute to product development insights
  • Lead seminars, presentations, and customer training sessions
  • Coordinate with contractors, planners, and stakeholders throughout project execution
  • Ensure strong follow-up on tenders, offers, and ongoing projects

Who you are

We’re looking for a structured and self-driven professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys combining technical insight with commercial impact. You are motivated by building strong relationships and delivering excellent customer experiences.

Ideally, you bring:

  • A technical background in plumbing, sprinklers, or a related field (e.g. mechanical, building services, or fire safety engineering) — or the motivation to quickly build this expertise
  • Experience in fire protection systems or certifications in sprinkler installation/design (e.g. FG certification) are an advantage
  • Practical experience as a plumber, sprinkler fitter, technician, or consultant within fire suppression or HVAC is highly relevant
  • A commercial mindset; sales experience is beneficial but not required
  • Strong communication skills in Norwegian and English
  • The ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, architects, contractors, and investors
  • A positive attitude, strong relationship-building skills, and a structured, results-oriented approach

What we offer

At Johnson Controls, you’ll join a strong and supportive team with deep technical expertise and a collaborative culture.

We offer:

  • A solid platform for professional and personal growth
  • Access to industry-leading knowledge and training
  • A dynamic and supportive work environment
  • The opportunity to work with innovative, energy-efficient solutions
  • A role where you can truly make an impact

Application:

We review applications on an ongoing basis — so don’t wait.

Whether you’re early in your career or bring years of experience, we’d love to hear from you.
