Sales Account Manager

Job Summary:

Account managers are responsible for prospecting and generating new commercial business.

Essential duties of an account manager include:

• Identification and development of a portfolio of new customers involving electrical equipment enclosures.
• Making sales calls.
• Being the public relations arm of the Company by spending 25+ hours per week on the road promoting PCI with old and new customers.
• Managing the sales activity and business relationships of customers and new accounts.
• Formulating and developing methods and procedures to increase the amount of quote requests.
• Interfacing between clients and engineering to resolve technical and commercial issues on quotes and orders.
• Managing bi-weekly business expense reports.
• Managing weekly call logs.

Sales Account Manager

Qualifications:

• Have a bachelor's degree in a relevant area of study.
• Have a minimum of 5 years' prior experience working in the electrical equipment business with at least 1 year of sales experience.
• Be proficient in MS Office Outlook, Word, and Excel programs.
• Have 2D layout drawing abilities.
• Have excellent verbal, written, and email communication skills.
• Possess a working knowledge of electrical power systems.
• Always be prompt, proficient, professional, and have a positive overall attitude.
• Be familiar with a wide variety of power and control equipment to assist customers in designing systems to be integrated into electrical equipment enclosures.
• Have the ability and willingness to travel as needed to support position responsibilities and build/maintain customer relationships.
