Team is made up of group of publicists from diverse backgrounds. Joining means signing onto a team that works on creative campaigns through media pitching, events, celebrity activations, and sample sending. As a Account Executive, you will help secure feature coverage, identify new outlets and coverage opportunities, pitch, participate in the planning and strategy process, help plan and pitch events, and maintain our clients’ reporting schedules (weekly, monthly and annual). You should be familiar with PR basics, like research, pitching and reporting, and working on events. You should be prepared to own those responsibilities. Our team is all-hands-on-deck, and we all do our share of grunt work. We love what we do and our jobs can be pretty incredible, if not unbelievable, but we – and you – should realize that sending out samples and record-keeping are part of the job, and will be a core part of your responsibilities.
The position will report to a multi-level team of supervisors. You can look forward to collaboration, creativity and a hands-on group of team members who will work with you to achieve personal growth goals and ensure polished client-ready work.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Media Relations with key National, Regional, and Digital outlets
Planning and co-managing the execution of impactful media campaigns
Planning and co-managing outstanding media events and product launches
Developing and managing client relations and media strategies
Supervising Assistant Account Executives and/or interns
Demonstrated connections with National Editors, Regional Media and key bloggers
Outstanding track record of placements in key National, Regional, and Online media
Creative approach to pitching and ability/proven track record to deliver feature and profile stories in key media
Able to envision new publicity opportunities
Proficiency in developing programs especially product launches and events
Strong and confident leadership, with a commanding drive to excel
Keen understanding of client and media deadlines and lead-times
Ability to troubleshoot clients’ problems as they arise and to seek senior management input when appropriate
Manage and delegate responsibilities of daily workflow of accounts while driving consistent media results
