Job description

We’re rethinking homes for how people really live, and we’re looking for a Trade Business Development Manager, Australia to join our Sales team to help shape the future of living — one thoughtful detail at a time.

Success in this role means building a strong pipeline of qualified trade leads, onboarding new trade partners, and driving growth in trade sales and repeat purchases across the Australian market. The successful candidate will develop strong partner relationships, independently identify business opportunities, and effectively execute trade outreach and engagement initiatives to grow the trade channel.

What You’ll Do

  • Own and grow Castlery’s Trade business in Australia, driving lead generation, partner acquisition, and repeat sales.
  • Build meaningful relationships with trade partners including interior designers, stylists, architects, developers, and commercial clients.
  • Proactively identify and approach new trade opportunities through outreach, referrals, events, and networking.
  • Plan and host trade events, showroom activations, and community initiatives that bring the brand closer to the design community.
  • Create and execute trade EDMs and partner communications to drive engagement and conversion.
  • Build and maintain a strong trade sales pipeline by identifying and qualifying opportunities and partnering closely with the showroom team to support lead conversion, in-store hosting, and relationship building with trade partners.
  • Share market insights and customer feedback to help shape how Castlery grows its Trade offering in Australia.

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in B2B sales, trade sales, account management, partnerships, or business development.
  • A strong track record of generating leads, opening doors, and converting opportunities into commercial outcomes.
  • Confidence building long-term relationships with clients and partners.
  • Strong understanding of the Australia market, with the ability to work independently and build local networks.
  • Excellent communication, follow-through, and stakeholder management skills.
  • A commercially driven mindset with strong ownership and comfort working in a new, evolving scope.

Nice-to-have skills/experience:

  • Experience in furniture, interiors, home & living, design, lifestyle, or retail.
  • Existing network within Australia’s interior design, architecture, property, or trade community.
  • Experience planning trade events, networking sessions, or partner activations.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools, sales reporting, and pipeline management.
  • Experience with trade marketing initiatives such as EDMs, partner campaigns, or community engagement.

Built for Real Life, Designed for What’s Next

At Castlery, we’ve spent over a decade building a brand people love by designing furniture for real life — durable, beautiful, and made to keep up with change.

Now, we’re focused on what’s next: scaling with care, crafting better experiences, and growing a team that’s as intentional as our design philosophy.

If you believe that good homes create good lives, come build with us.
