The EMEA E-commerce Governance & Experience (GNE) team seeks to inspire and preserve trust in TikTok E-Commerce, by designing and implementing end-to-end governance & experience programmes that enable a safe, trustworthy and thriving international marketplace.

As a Governance Strategy Manager in our Creator & Content Governance team, you will play a critical role in shaping governance strategy for e-commerce content on the platform. This role is focused on content quality, policy effectiveness, ecosystem risk management, and scalable governance mechanisms that protect consumer experience and platform trust. You will partner closely with cross-functional teams to identify emerging content risks, translate business and policy challenges into actionable governance solutions, and drive systematic improvements across the e-commerce content ecosystem.

Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and interpret key e-commerce content metrics, combining data insights, user feedback, case review, and enforcement signals to identify emerging content quality issues, abuse patterns, and ecosystem risks.
- Design, formulate, and continuously optimize governance policies, standards, and strategic interventions for e-commerce content, with the goal of improving policy effectiveness, content quality, compliance, and user trust.
- Drive deep diagnosis of content ecosystem problems, including low-quality content, misleading claims, abusive behaviors, and policy loopholes, and develop scalable governance solutions with clear impact measurement.
- Partner closely with cross-functional teams and global stakeholders, including Product, Legal, Moderation, Engineering, Business Teams, etc., to translate governance strategies into enforceable policies, operational workflows.
- Drive governance across the full content lifecycle, including policy design, risk detection, enforcement strategy, effectiveness evaluation, and governance iteration, to build a healthy, trustworthy, and sustainable e-commerce content ecosystem.

Requirements

Minimum Qualification(s)
- Bachelor's degree and above, preferably in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Computer Science, Data Analytics or related fields.
- 3+ years experience in governance, content strategy or a related role, preferably within E-commerce, technology, or a similar fast-paced industry.
- Demonstrated project management experience, with proven ability to drive project execution and lead cross-functional initiatives effectively.
- Strong strategic thinking to prioritize key issues and to break down the issues for solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, including a demonstrated ability to develop and communicate complex strategies in writing as well as driving effective collaboration with global teams.
- Proactive and driven, with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualification(s)
- Proficient in SQL or other programming languages, with strong analytical skills to translate data into actionable insights.
