Salary -  £34,483.00 plus Veolia benefits  

Hours - 46.67 hours per week.  Rolling rota 4 on 2 off - to be confirmed at interview 

Monday to Saturday 6am - 4.30pm

Overtime when needed

Location - Colwick Transfer Station, Nottinghamshire, NG4 2JU

This new facility is for bulking, treatment and transfer of waste materials collected from local businesses and householders.  It also does the shredding of residual waste to produce refuse derived fuel (RDF).

What will you be doing?

  • Assist with the day to day running of the RDF plant including the safe and efficient operation of mobile plant equipment

  • Liaise with the facilities manager and supervisor 

  • Ensure materials are processed to achieve maximum throughput at all times

  • Responsible for the safety of all staff, contractors, and visitors on-site

  • Assign work to production team and supervise their activities

  • Utilisation of resources to ensure maximum effectiveness and to continuously improve all aspects of the facility

  • Control tipping hall activities for incoming loads in conjunction with the weighbridge operations

  • Control all loading activities

  • When required work the weighbridge system

What are we looking for? 

Essential:

  • Previous team leader / management experience

  • Material handler (360) licence 

  • IOSH certificate
