Job description

As a Structural Engineer for our client, you will be responsible for providing structural design and analysis expertise for various engineering construction projects. Your role will involve ensuring structural integrity, safety, and compliance with building codes and regulations. You will work collaboratively with project teams to develop innovative and efficient structural solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and analyse structural components and systems.
  • Utilize engineering software and tools to create 2D and 3D models and drawings.
  • Perform structural calculations and simulations to verify the stability and strength of structures.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to clarify project requirements and develop design solutions.
  • Review and approve structural plans, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to assess structural conditions and address any issues or discrepancies.
  • Manage workload and meet project deadlines.
  • Prepare technical reports and documentation.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and best practices in structural engineering.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Structural Engineer in the engineering construction industry.
  • Proficiency in structural design software and analysis tools.
  • Thorough understanding of structural engineering principles, codes, and standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in design and documentation.
  • Project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and other relevant software.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification (preferred).
