Steel Design Engineer

Our client is a well established structural steel company based at Burton-on-Trent. They are currently recruiting for a Structural Design Engineer to join their busy team. In this role, you will carry out both tender or post tender design work and your general duties will entail:

Scheduling allocated workloads;
Carrying out design to the current and relevant codees of practice, standards, etc;
Producing calculations for submission;
Liaison with clients / internal staff;
Assisting with training of draughtsmen and other departments;
Attending launch and design meetings;
Carry out tender designs;
Ad hoc duties as required.

It is expected that the successful candidate will be experienced in Structural Steel Design and have excellent communication skills.
