Job description

Help make the world more hospitable

The hospitality industry is uniquely human, and it deserves technology that’s just as inspiring as the people behind it. At Mews, we’re transforming the industry with a platform that helps hotels run smarter, move faster and create better guest experiences.

You’ll work with smart, curious people who care deeply about what they do. You’ll have autonomy and the trust to make good decisions and move quickly. And you’ll enjoy a real sense of purpose as you see the impact of what we’re building.

If you’re motivated by ownership, curiosity and meaningful impact, and are driven to deliver consistent high performance, you’ll feel at home here.

About the role

Let's get into the specifics. It’s impossible to capture every nuance of a role – especially at a rapidly growing company like Mews – but if we had to distil it into a job description (which we do because this is a job description), it would be this:

The Distribution tribe owns how Mews connects hotel properties to 400+ OTA and channel management platforms, including Booking.com, Expedia, and Airbnb. You would join as the Staff Product Manager leading our biggest strategic initiative for 2026: building a native Channel Manager experience powered by SiteMinder, bringing OTA connectivity fully inside Mews so hotels never need to switch tools.

This role exists above day to day execution. There is already a PM handling that layer. You come in to own the full product strategy and set direction the way a Staff Engineer owns an architectural domain, working through a landscape of hundreds of third party APIs, each with their own schemas, edge cases, and contractual obligations, while protecting 2,800 existing customers who cannot be disrupted during the transition.

What you would do

  • Set and defend product strategy for Distribution's core platform while the new native Channel Manager experience ships in parallel, ensuring zero disruption to the 2,800+ existing SiteMinder customers who depend on current flows
  • Own the technical product decisions that blur the line between engineering and product: API architecture, third party integration patterns, legacy versus new codebase trade offs, and how to handle the dozens of edge cases and contractual obligations that come with OTA partnerships
  • Manage alignment across Commercial, Customer Success, SiteMinder, individual OTAs, and your engineering team, balancing what customers need, what OTAs require, and what is technically feasible
  • Work directly with senior engineers on architecture discussions and trade off decisions, bringing full technical context to every decision rather than relying on others to translate complexity
  • Build and maintain AI assisted workflows for synthesizing partner documentation, API specs, and cross team requirements, so complex technical context is easier for the wider team to act on

AI Fluency Level 3: in this role, that means redesigning how the Distribution team handles hundreds of pages of partner API documentation and contractual detail, using AI to synthesize and structure that material rather than reading it manually. It means creating a repeatable method for this synthesis that your PM, engineers, and cross functional partners can reuse. And it means actively checking that synthesis against the source material yourself before it shapes a technical or strategic decision, since a missed edge case here can affect thousands of live customers.

For more information on AI fluency at Mews, please refer to "AI Fluency at Mews: A Comprehensive Guide for Candidates" on Confluence.

What you would bring

  • Demonstrable progression to Staff or Principal PM level (IC PM to Group PM, Director of Product, or equivalent) with proven outcomes on very complex, large scale projects
  • Experience shipping products with complex third party integrations at scale: API heavy, partner dependent, high reliability production environments where failure is not an option
  • Strong technical fluency and ability to operate as a peer to senior engineers, engaging directly in architecture discussions and making trade off decisions with full technical context, not approximations
  • A track record of owning outcomes end to end, moving fast in uncertain environments, and operating effectively in smaller, direct team settings
  • AI Fluency Level 3 or the equivalent hands on experience: you have redesigned how you or your team uses AI, built an approach others follow, and you actively check AI output before relying on it

Nice to have

  • Direct experience at a PMS, CRS, or channel manager company (SiteMinder, Amadeus, Oracle Hospitality, D-edge)
  • Hands on experience with SiteMinder, iHotelier, D-edge, Booking.com connectivity products, or similar OTA side platforms
  • Track record leading a major platform migration or legacy modernization

Why this role, why now

Mews recently completed a Series D and distribution technology is at an inflection point in hospitality. Hotels currently move between Mews and separate channel managers to reach the full OTA ecosystem. We are building that natively, and the market timing and scope of the problem make this the highest impact distribution role in hospitality tech right now.

Life at Mews

We’re an equal opportunities employer. We value teams that reflect the diversity of the customers and communities we serve. Different perspectives make better ideas, stronger products and a more welcoming company.

We also believe transparency is important when deciding if you're the right fit. Mews is an ambitious, high-pressure environment of continuous learning and high standards. Success here requires resilience, adaptability and a willingness to solve difficult problems.

A few things that define how we work:

  • High autonomy means high responsibility. People are expected to take ownership and drive outcomes. There isn’t a detailed playbook for everything, and that’s part of what makes the work challenging – and rewarding.
  • Change is constant. We’re growing quickly and adapting as we scale. Teams, processes and priorities continue to evolve, and only people who stay curious and agile will thrive.
  • We’re remote-first, not relationship-free. Flexibility is core to how we work, but strong relationships still matter. Our teams are global, so we need expert collaborators and communicators to help us move forward together.
  • AI is an integral part of our processes. It’s not here to steal people’s jobs, but to amplify efficiency and productivity. We’re motivated to proactively use the technology to seek out better ways of working and share our findings with the rest of the company.

If there's anything we can do to support you during the application process, let us know.

We don't discriminate on the basis of race, religion, colour, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, disability or any other protected characteristic.

One final thing: don't hold back. If you don't meet 100% of the criteria in this job description but you're certain you could make a big impact, apply. Everyone should have equal access to opportunities, and we're committed to providing an inclusive experience.

If Mews sounds like the kind of environment where you'd thrive, we'd love to hear from you.
