Senior Social worker- Looked after Children

Liquid Personnel is recruiting a Children’s Social Worker to join its client’s Looked after Children team, based in Shropshire.

What will your responsibilities be? 

• Manage caseload with supervision from the Team Manager
  
• Complete assessments through direct work with children and families
  
• Progress care plans and pathway plans to meet children’s needs
  
• Carry out statutory CLA visits (home, foster care, residential)
  
• Chair and coordinate meetings (care planning, PEPs, reviews, risk management)
  
• Provide advice and support to children and families
  
• Undertake limited court work (care orders, SGO, placement orders)
  
• Participate in duty rota
  
• Maintain accurate case records and documentation
  
• Work collaboratively with families and partner agencies

Qualifications and Experience: 

To be successful in this role you must have;  

• Social Work England registration 
• Eligible to work in the UK 
• Hold a full UK driving licence 
• Post-qualified experience 
• Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
