This is a hybrid role requiring proximity to Bridgwater or willingness to relocate, with relocation support available.
You will provide DSEAR expertise across a major nuclear construction project environment.
You will ensure compliance, reduce risk, and support safe operational delivery.

πŸ”₯ Act as DSEAR subject matter expert supporting contractors and project teams
πŸ§ͺ Conduct, review, and approve DSEAR assessments across site activities
⚠️ Identify fire and explosion risks, implementing effective mitigation controls
πŸ“Š Maintain legal registers ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
πŸ“‹ Provide technical guidance on DSEAR regulations and best practices
πŸ—οΈ Support development and implementation of DSEAR policies and procedures

Required Skills and Qualifications

πŸŽ“ Degree in engineering, fire safety, or related discipline
πŸ“œ DSEAR certification such as CompEx or NEBOSH qualifications
🏭 Experience within COMAH, manufacturing, labs, or fuel environments
πŸ› οΈ Experience auditing explosion-protected equipment and installations
🧠 Strong knowledge of DSEAR regulations and ATEX directives
