Job description
Our client who are regarded as one of the top consultancies to work for in the UK are seeking a Senior / Principal Structural Engineer to help lead and develop an already successful Structural team based in Leeds City Centre.
Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for leading teams of engineers and technicians in the delivery of technically excellent civil & structural engineering projects.
  • Responsible for co-ordinating delivery of structures, drainage and highways elements of projects, working closely with colleagues of various disciplines, at all levels.
  • Responsible for the development and ongoing management of design delivery programmes, feeding into wider office resource requirements.
  • Ability to develop structural designs using design/analysis software.
  • Visiting sites and attending site meetings, undertaking site surveys
  • Involvement in internal and external project design team meetings.
  • Attend external design meetings with clients and other design team members.
  • Prepare correspondence and reports.
  • Client Relationship Management
  • Managing workload of self and others, develop and nurture junior members of staff.
The ideal candidate:
  • Must hold a degree in Structural/Civil Engineering (ideally 2:1)
  • Must hold a professional qualification i.e, MIStructE/MICE/AMIStructE/AMICE or equivalent
  • Must be IT literate with experience of structural design software packages.
  • Must be technically competent.
