Senior Pricing Manager

About the Role

As Head of Pricing you will work closely with the senior management team and the Commercial team to develop and implement appropriate pricing strategies across the business, both online and offline. You will lead the Pricing strategy, drive price and margin decisions and take an instrumental role in shaping promotional activity to help our client achieve its growth ambitions.

You will also be responsible for coordinating pricing activities and developing, maintaining and continually enhancing pricing models and tools in order to deliver maximised profitable sales and to provide customers with consistent and competitive pricing options and arrangements.

Duties and Responsibilities

•Shape & deliver our clients Pricing strategy

•Develop, maintain and enhance appropriate pricing models for our products and services across the different customer segments

•Identify and exploit margin opportunities within key categories and channels

•Provide industry expertise on pricing trends and competitor pricing analysis

•Work closely with the Commercial team to develop and roll out pricing models and strategies for our product and services, ensuring that any pricing changes are clearly managed and communicated to stakeholders

•Monitor, evaluate and interpret the impact of pricing decisions to ensure sound commercial strategy is being followed and sales & margins are optimised

•Maintain price lists, contribute content for sales proposals and generate pricing, margin & customer based reporting and insight

•Prepare revenue & margin forecasts and budgets

•Manage the supplier price change process and optimise the margin opportunities arising from price changes

•Influence stakeholders across the business

•Work cross-functionally with a variety of internal departments, including Sales, Category management, Digital, Marketing and Finance, to ensure that the pricing methodology complies with company policies and maximises profitability

Experience Required

•Demonstrable track record of success in a Pricing role / Senior Pricing role

•Experience of working within a complex commercial environment, ideally with strong knowledge of trade pricing models and managing online and offline pricing strategies

•Line management of a small team

•Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in demanding environment
