About the Role

MSS Security is seeking a professional and dependable Security Officer to join our Defence team at a secure Defence facility in the Illawarra region. This is an opportunity to work in a highly trusted environment where attention to detail, professionalism and accountability are essential. As a Casual Security Officer, you will play an important role in supporting the safety and security of Defence personnel, contractors, visitors and critical infrastructure. Working within a Defence environment requires a high standard of integrity and the ability to remain vigilant while delivering exceptional customer service. About You:

• Australian Citizen

• Current NSW Security License

• Negative Vetting 1 Defence Clearance or willingness to obtain

• Current Driver's License

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong attention to detail and situational awareness

• The ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions

Key Responsibilities:

• Access control and visitor management

• Conducting patrols and security inspections

• Monitoring compliance with Defence security procedures

• Responding to incidents and emergencies

• Building positive relationships with Defence personnel, contractors and visitors

• Completing accurate reports and documentation
