About the role

Looking for an opportunity to work in a high-security Government environment?

MSS Security is seeking an experienced Security Control Room Operator to join our team at a prestigious Government facility located in Lucas Heights. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a professional control room environment where you'll play a critical role in the safety and security of the site.

Working on a rotating 4 on / 4 off roster consisting of both day and night shifts, this role is suited to security professionals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are committed to delivering exceptional security outcomes.

As a Security Control Room Operator, you'll be responsible for monitoring and coordinating all security operations from the control room while supporting the wider security team across the site. This role requires strong situational awareness, excellent communication skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

What You'll Be Doing

• Monitoring CCTV, alarms and electronic access control systems

• Responding to alarms, incidents and emergencies in accordance with site procedures

• Coordinating security officers via radio communications

• Monitoring and controlling site access

• Maintaining accurate incident reports, logs and security documentation

• Liaising with client representatives, emergency services and internal stakeholders

• Supporting emergency response procedures and incident management

• Ensuring compliance with Government security requirements and site procedures

What We're Looking For

Essential

• Current NV1 Security Clearance - MUST have

• Previous experience working in a Security Control Room

• Current NSW Security Licence

• Current First Aid Certificate

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong computer literacy and experience working across multiple security systems

• Ability to work a 24/7 rotating roster, including days, nights, weekends and public holidays

• High attention to detail with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure

Highly Regarded

• Experience working within Government or Critical Infrastructure environments

• Experience using Gallagher, Genetec or similar security management systems

• Strong incident management and emergency response experience
