Job description

Finding solutions to climate change is the priority of the 21st century, and means switching to low-carbon energy. At Assystem, our mission is to accelerate the energy transition worldwide. To achieve this, our 7,500 Switchers combine their historical engineering expertise and project management with digital technologies.

In our 12 countries (Europe, Middle East, Asia) of operation, we are working on the production and distribution of low-carbon electricity, through the development of nuclear and renewable energies. We are also supporting the modernisation and development of energy grids, managing the setup and siting for new transmission and distribution networks, and using hydrogen to decarbonise the transport and industry sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain programme and cost risk assessments for water sector projects and portfolios.
  • Facilitate risk identification workshops with project, engineering, commercial, and delivery teams.
  • Quantify schedule and cost risks using recognised risk analysis techniques.
  • Perform probabilistic modelling, sensitivity analysis, and scenario assessments to evaluate project outcomes.
  • Support the development and maintenance of project schedules, cost estimates, and contingency provisions.
  • Produce clear risk reports, dashboards, and management information for project and executive stakeholders.
  • Monitor risk trends and emerging threats throughout project delivery.
  • Provide assurance that programme and cost risk management processes are being applied consistently.
  • Support investment decision making, business cases, and governance reviews.
  • Contribute to lessons learned activities and continuous improvement initiatives across programmes.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Understanding of project controls disciplines, including planning, cost management, risk management, and reporting.
  • Experience working on infrastructure, utilities, engineering, or capital delivery projects, ideally within the water sector.
  • Knowledge of programme and cost risk analysis methodologies.
  • Familiarity with risk modelling and project controls software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret complex technical and commercial information.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
