Join Our Team

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Technician to join our Quality Assurance team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a high-tech manufacturing environment, supporting the production of advanced Indium Phosphide semiconductor wafers and chips.

As a Quality Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring products meet quality standards, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and helping maintain compliance with ISO9001 and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform quality assurance activities across manufacturing operations.
  • Verify product quality and ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Support the Quality Engineer with quality control activities.
  • Conduct routine process audits, ESD audits, and verification activities.
  • Assist with corrective and preventive action (CAPA) management.
  • Complete shop floor inspections, spot checks, and process monitoring.
  • Drive and support continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Support customer and internal quality audits.
  • Assist with site calibration activities.
  • Carry out Goods In and Goods Out inspections.
  • Support the internal audit programme.
  • Monitor and support change control activities.
  • Develop and update QA work instructions and documentation.

About You

You'll be a motivated individual with a passion for quality and continuous improvement. You enjoy problem-solving, working collaboratively, and maintaining high standards in a manufacturing environment.

Essential Requirements

  • Experience carrying out quality audits.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of ISO9001 Quality Management Systems.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Desirable

  • BTEC ONC/OND in Electronic or Mechanical Engineering (or similar), or 3–5 years' experience in a Quality Assurance role within manufacturing.
  • Calibration experience.
  • Experience working in a cleanroom environment.
  • Knowledge of SAP, Agile, PROMIS, or similar manufacturing systems.
