Job Title: Project Quantity Surveyor

Location: Manchester

Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 per annum

Job description:

We are looking to recruit 3 driven and focused Project Quantity Surveyors to join the commercial team of 2 of our client’s highly successful and well known main contracting businesses
Reporting to the Senior Quantity Surveyor you will take the lead on a wide range of projects across education, extra-care, commercial, residential high rise and student accommodation in new build and refurbishments across the North West.
Controlling of costs and minimising risk
Dealing with all the procurement, commercial and contractual aspects in relation to the construction project

Skills and Experience required:

Degree educated in Surveying
Experience of supporting new build projects for a main contractor from £10m to £30m
Experience of working on projects within education, extra-care and residential high-rise and student accommodation from project inception to handover to the client
Working knowledge of the various standard building contracts as well as standard method of measurement
Experience of preparing bill of quantities from material take-offs for packages to include groundworks, steelworks, brickworks and joinery packages up to final account
