The Opportunity
ICMP is seeking an inspiring and experienced Programme Leader to provide strategic and academic leadership for our BA (Hons) Songwriting and Production programme across our UK campuses.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape and lead a growing area of our Creative Practice provision. Delivered across ICMP's campuses in London, Liverpool and Leeds, the programme occupies a unique position within our songwriting provision and is designed to equip students with the creative, technical and entrepreneurial skills required for success as a writer-producer.
As Programme Leader, you will provide strategic and academic leadership, ensuring an outstanding student experience and high standards of teaching, learning and assessment. Working closely with academic colleagues, you'll drive innovation in curriculum design, programme delivery and industry engagement, ensuring that graduates are equipped with the skills, knowledge and creative confidence needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving sector.
This role presents an exciting opportunity to influence the development of the subject, where ICMP is positioned as a leading provider of songwriting education on a national scale.

About You
You are a passionate and proven academic leader with a strong background in songwriting and production. You bring:
- Substantial experience in undergraduate-graduate teaching and academic leadership, including designing assessments that develop critical analysis and independent enquiry
- A track record of leading teams, enhancing the student experience, and managing academic programmes
- A commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, with awareness of inclusive pedagogies and current debates such as decolonising the curriculum
- The ability to motivate and support staff, foster collaboration, and align academic vision with strategic objectives
- A demonstrable research profile or industry practice - evidenced through publications, applied research, or critically reflective industry work - that models the research-informed thinking students are expected to develop
