* Experience of developing and promoting innovative technical strategies and demonstrating understanding of the interactions between people, processes and technology

* Ability to take a holistic view of the organisation and its business needs ensuring cross functional considerations are accounted for

* Ability to grasp issues of a business nature, apply strategic and innovative thinking to develop pragmatic solutions and assess the technical impact

* Excellent stakeholder management at all levels, negotiating and influencing skills, with good consulting and relationship management skills working comfortably at all levels of the organisation across differing levels of technical capability.

* Experience of working within RUP, Agile, ITIL, DevOps

* Deep knowledge of a broad range of technology and technology trends

Desirable

* Experience of working with multiple solutions service providers and reviewing and recommending sourcing options for delivering the target enterprise business application and integration platforms

* TOGAF certified

* Experience of Oracle/BEA middleware and database products

* Experience of the financial services industry

* Experience of cloud based technologies
