Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Our client is an independent and expanding food manufacturer in the extruded cereal and meat free markets. Due to continual growth we are now recruiting an additional qualified engineerwith an electrical biasto join this successful and growing team to support the two key sides of the business: extrusion and meat free.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will work closely with the Production Teams to diagnose and resolve operational engineering issues, in addition to supporting the planned preventative maintenance programme, ensuring that the two operations run efficiently and downtime is minimised. You will also support the Maintenance Manager to drive a culture of continuous improvement and deliver on agreed engineering maintenance projects.

Working 5 days a week, to include Saturdays with a day off in the week, Monday – Friday and with some flexibility around start and finish times.

The successful candidate will:

·Be a qualified, multi skilled engineer with both electrical and mechanical experience but with an electrical bias

·Have experience of PLC’s

·Have experience of chilled and/or extrusion manufacturing (desirable)

·Be flexible – responding positively to changing requirements and demands and adapting own approach to suit the circumstances

·Be able to work both as part of a team and autonomously

·Build credible and sustainable relationships and communicate effectively at all levels (both written and verbal communication)

·Be comfortable working to multiple and often tight deadlines

·Have excellent planning, prioritisation and organisational skills

·Be able to quickly identify and implement pragmatic and creative solutions to issues
