Job description

We are an innovative company which has been designing and producing state-of-the-art smart Vehicle Access and Automation components in the Automotive Industry.

Our products can be found in a wide array of vehicles due to excellence in Electronics, Software, and Mechanical research, development and manufacture.

We work closely with companies and Engineers globally (Austria, Japan, USA, Italy, UK, etc) to produce custom products.

As an engineer with proven skills and expertise in mechanical design, you will be working as part of a team engineers. Your mission will be to advance innovation and expand the product portfolio of the company.  Your role will encompass:

§  Development of new product solutions and improvements of existing ones all based on the principle of irreducible minimum with the objective of meeting our environmental challenges

§  Testing and Validation of all new development and improvements to ensure robust comprehensive solutions

§  Provision of solutions for challenges affecting  new and existing products

§  Provision of Technical Support to customers and implementation of any modifications as may be deemed necessary

§  Application of proper project management processes with complete documentary record to ensure safe keeping and traceability of all developments and improvements at all times

§  Ability to see an idea through from inception to fully validated and tested product

§  Proven knowledge of complex high performance products comprising gear trains, motors and dynamic links

§  Experience and understanding of processes and design for manufacture involving design for CNC machining, MIM, sheet metal fabrication, diecast, PM, injection and blow moulding, thermoset moulding, forging, etc.

§  Comprehensive knowledge of technology of materials: thermoplastics, thermoset resigns, steels, nonferrous metals and high performance engineering materials generally

§  In depth understanding of technical drawings, tolerance standards and applications.

§  Good knowledge of post manufacture processes such as: surface treatment, plating, heat treatment, metallurgical micro structures, welding, etc.

§  Proven experience in designing Electromechanical Drive Mechanisms, Motor-Driven Power Actuators, Safety Critical Dynamic Systems for industries such as aviation, automotive, rail , defence or marine

§  Knowledge of statutory regulations and industry standards

§  Competent knowledge of Excel Spread-sheet, Power Point Presentations, 3D and 2D design and simulation softwares;
