Maintenance Engineer - Multi Skilled

Days Only! 

To work as part of the engineering team to provide effective and efficient mechanical and electrical support throughout the factory. Tasks will involve reactive support in the factory; continuous improvement projects planned though the maintenance system and planned maintenance tasks. The role will be working with a wide range of complex automated cooking processes and packaging equipment.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide a proactive response to maintenance, continuous improvement tasks and reactive breakdowns on site
  • Accurate recording of all work activities
  • Completion of RCAs as required
  • Escalation of any further works required
  • Identification of CI projects for repetitive problems

Essential:

  • Relevant Engineering qualification – HNC or Level 3 NVQ 
  • Experience of working in a similar role

Desirable:

  • Experience of operating in a FMCG environment
  • IOSH
  • Experience of working with WCM processes
  • Experience of Continuous Improvement processes and methodologies

  • Self-motivated and confident team player with the ability to demonstrate and work under own initiative
  • Energetic, adaptable and flexible with a ‘can do’ attitude
  • A high level of attention to detail
  • The ability to manage time effectively, to prioritise and work to tight deadlines
  • Demonstrable fault diagnostic abilities
