Home Care Assistant

At Home Instead Leek & Moorlands we offer support to individuals living in their own home. We have a range of contracts at present that involve visiting clients in Matlock, Bakewell and the surrounding area. We are looking for someone reliable, friendly and caring to make a difference to our clients' lives. You must have flexibility to work alternate weekends. No experience required - just a friendly personality and the right values.

At Home Instead we have minimum 1-hour calls plus suitable travel time to ensure you are not rushed with clients, with mileage reimbursement. We work to match our Care Professionals and clients together so memorable connections can be established. All initial calls with a client who is new to you will be introductions with the support of another colleague, so you can really get to know your client and their needs.

This is a part-time role. We are looking for individuals who live in Ashbourne with availability to work 3 days per week, plus holiday and sickness cover. This will include alternate weekends.

Responsibilities as a Domiciliary Support Worker:

• Offering warmth and care during visits.
• Enhance the home atmosphere by aiding in light household chores and meal preparations.
• Help clients cherish their time with you, sharing in activities such as reading or watching favourite TV shows.
• Support with personal care tasks such as showering, washing hair, and getting changed.
• Taking clients out to places of their choice e.g. the local shops.
• Ensure transparent communication with clients and loved ones, offering first-rate care and comfort.

Requirements:

• Experience is not required; we offer comprehensive in-house training. However, any previous care experience either professional or personal is an advantage.
• You must have a full driver's licence and dependable transportation for various duties.
• You must be reliable and punctual to ensure we can continue to provide an excellent service to our clients.
• Must have a caring, friendly disposition to create lasting relationships.
