Head of IT Change & Delivery
Culligan Shared Services
Apply to this jobThe Head of IT Change & Delivery is a pivotal leadership role within the UKI IT function, responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery lifecycle for technology change across the UK & Ireland business. Reporting directly to the UKI IT Director, this role owns the IT Change pillar – encompassing business partnering, project and programme delivery, and change governance – and acts as the primary interface between IT and senior business stakeholders.
This is a critical hire at a time of significant transformation. The role will provide the senior delivery capacity and leadership structure that the function needs to manage a growing and complex change portfolio, whilst ensuring that demand is appropriately governed, risks are visible, and business adoption is realised.
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, line manage, and develop a small team of Business Partners and a Project Change Partner, creating clear accountability, structured ways of working, and a high-performance delivery culture within the IT Change pillar.
- Define and embed consistent delivery standards, governance frameworks, and operating rhythms across the team.
- Act as a visible and credible senior leader within the broader IT function, contributing to cross-functional alignment alongside the Apps Dev & Support and Data Governance & Insights pillar leads.
Programme & Project Delivery
- Act as senior delivery lead on key IT programmes, bringing the seniority and hands-on capacity to drive complex, cross-functional initiatives from initiation through to business adoption.
- Ensure robust project governance is in place across the change portfolio: clear scope, resourcing, milestones, risk management, and benefits tracking.
- Work closely with the UKI IT Director and peer function leads to ensure change activity is coordinated, dependencies are managed, and delivery outcomes are realised.
Business Partnering & Demand Management
- Serve as the senior bridge between IT and the business, building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across all five business units (UK CDW, Harvey Water, Ireland CDW, Aquacure, and Monarch).
- Translate strategic business priorities into a governed, sequenced change portfolio, ensuring demand is managed effectively against available capacity and resource.
- Lead the Business Partner function, ensuring consistent engagement models, structured demand intake, and clear escalation paths across all BUs.
Change Governance & Portfolio Oversight
- Own the change governance framework for the IT function, ensuring change activity is appropriately controlled, prioritised, and aligned to business objectives.
- Maintain visibility of risks, issues, and interdependencies across the portfolio, escalating where necessary and ensuring the UKI IT Director and senior stakeholders are appropriately informed.
- Support the evolution of the shared service IT operating model, contributing to the ongoing development of governance structures, service definitions, and cross-charge transparency.
Requirements
- Significant experience leading IT change, delivery, or project management functions, ideally within a multi-site or multi-business-unit organisation.
- Proven track record of delivering complex, cross-functional technology programmes from initiation through to business adoption.
- Experienced people leader, with the ability to build structure, clarity, and a performance culture within a small team.
- Strong business partnering skills with the ability to engage credibly at senior leadership level, translating strategic intent into actionable delivery plans.
- Comfortable operating in environments with ambiguity, incomplete information, and competing priorities – able to bring structure without over-engineering.
- Experience of shared service or IT operating models, with an understanding of demand management, capacity planning, and change governance.
