Requirements

Reporting to the Facilities Operational Manager, the successful candidate will be working within a team responsible for the day-to-day operation of the ICMP’s facilities (the working and learning environment).

Daily tasks will include but are not limited to:

  • Provide support for the Facilities Operational Manager
  • Musical equipment repair and maintenance
  • Assist and support staff and students with technical problems
  • Prepare equipment for shows and events
  • Set up rooms for classes, exams and staff meetings
  • Assist with compliance-related tasks including planned preventative maintenance checks
  • Assist with building maintenance / general DIY
  • Provide frontline customer service cover for the facilities helpdesk
  • General administrative tasks


This role will be of interest to Facilities Assistants who have experience maintaining and repairing contemporary musical instruments and equipment. We also welcome applications from music school graduates who have a passion and aptitude for the practical and technical aspects of music performance and technology.

The successful candidate will have a “can-do” attitude, excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for providing a high level of customer service. They must also be prepared to undertake CPD training and occasionally work at the weekend assisting on shows and events.
