HR Advisor

Location: Leeds (Hybrid)

We’re looking for an Employee Relations Advisor to join Farnell. Based out of our Head Office in Leeds, this hybrid role offers flexibility, variety, and the chance to make a real impact.

You’ll be part of a supportive and collaborative HR Service Centre team, supporting colleagues across the UK, Nordics and Ireland. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys employee relations, thrives in a fast‑paced environment, and wants to get involved in a wide range of HR projects alongside day‑to‑day advisory work.

This role is hybrid, and you will expected to be office based 3 days per week.

What will you be doing?

  • Provide advice and guidance to line managers and HR Business Partners on a wide range of employee relations matters, ensuring policies and procedures are followed to mitigate risk and achieve effective outcomes
  • Advise employees and managers on all HR policy‑related queries
  • Support HR and wider business projects, collaborating with team members to deliver agreed outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date case management records
  • Coach and support managers on employee relations activities in line with company policies and local employment legislation
  • Provide guidance and support to managers during investigations, disciplinary, grievance, and hearings as required
  • Occasional UK travel may be required.

What about you?

  • CIPD qualification (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law, with a particular focus on employee relations
  • Proven experience managing complex employee relations cases from initial advice through to full case management
  • Ability to work independently while exercising sound judgment and discretion
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong critical thinker.
  • Experience with case management systems would be a benefit.
