Director/Sr. Director, Global Strategy Development, Beverages

Location: Princeton, NJ, US or Brussels, Belgium; Delft, Netherlands; Sharnbrook, UK

With a global impact across numerous functions, this is an opportunity to set the future beverages strategy across major sub-segments.  Focus will be on working with the innovation, commercial, and operations teams to set and guide the execution of the next strategic cycle. Collaborating with the creation, regulatory, sustainability, and consumer insights teams, you will design the path to a regionally relevant, consumer-centric TASTE portfolio and industry-differentiating tools. Part of a newly reorganized team, this is also a moment to shape the role as part of the larger dsm-firmenich organization.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Where to play: Anticipate industry needs by leveraging market analysis, emerging trends, and deep consumer insights
• How to win: Identify and prioritize high-impact growth areas to drive differentiation and competitive advantage
• Route to market: Strengthen market relevance through close alignment with global and regional stakeholders
• M&A: Propose, support, and critically assess the technical soundness of strategic partnerships and M&A opportunities
• Knowledge transfer: Elevate internal and client-facing visibility of the Beverages category through effective tools and communication

The location for this position can be flexible within the following sites: Princeton, NJ, US; Brussels, Belgium; Delft, Netherlands; Sharnbrook, UK.

You Bring:

• 15+ years of experience in the food, flavor, or ingredient industry, with a focus on commercial and/or strategic roles
• Strong understanding of Beverages as a segment, including key sub-segments globally
• Strong appreciation for flavor technology and the unique areas where dsm-firmenich can differentiate
• Proven track record of data-driven decision-making in strategy development and execution
• International experience and ability to thrive in a matrixed environment, collaborating with both technical and business leaders
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus

The salary or hourly wage scale provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location. Salary $176,300-$195,000.

In addition to base salary, we also offer a comprehensive total rewards package, inclusive of annual incentive pay, a retirement savings plan, health care coverage, paid time off, recognition programs and a broad range of other benefits. All benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements.
