This is a hands‑on consulting role, where you’ll work closely with developers, architects, security and SRE teams to deliver scalable, secure, and highly reliable platforms for modern applications in complex environments.

We’re hiring across mid‑level through to senior/principal engineers, with responsibilities scaling based on experience.

  • Build, automate, and run container platforms using Kubernetes, Docker, and CRI‑O
  • Deploy and maintain infrastructure across multi‑cloud and hybrid environments
  • Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible, and cloud‑native tooling
  • Implement HA/DR patterns, load balancing, and hybrid networking solutions

  • Administer OpenShift clusters and support container platform migrations
  • Collaborate with architects and developers to improve platform performance, automation, and security
  • At senior levels, lead technical decisions, guide DevOps practices, and mentor engineers

You’ll bring hands‑on experience in some of the areas below, along with a proactive mindset to learn and develop across the rest:

Containers & Orchestration

  • Kubernetes cluster operations (deployments, scaling, security, networking, upgrades)
  • Docker and/or CRI‑O runtime experience
  • OpenShift administration and migration support

Cloud & Hybrid Platforms

  • Experience with at least one major cloud (AWS, Azure or GCP), with exposure to others
  • Hybrid/on‑prem environments and legacy modernisation
  • VPC/VNet design, IAM and identity management, hybrid connectivity

Infrastructure as Code & Automation

  • Terraform and/or Ansible for platform automation
  • CloudFormation, ARM, Bicep or other cloud-native IaC tooling
  • CI/CD pipeline development (GitHub Actions, GitLab, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Tekton)

Observability & Reliability

  • Monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch, Azure Monitor)
  • HA/DR patterns, load balancing, and resilience engineering
  • Understanding of SRE principles and/or GitOps practices

Security & Compliance

  • Platform security, configuration hardening, secrets management, and identity tooling
  • Experience integrating security into pipelines (shift‑left / DevSecOps practices)

This role is subject to pre-employment screening in line with the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). An additional range of Personal Security Controls referred to as National Security Vetting (NSV) may apply, this could include meeting the eligibility requirements for The Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV).

  • A broad foundation across multiple domains such as systems administration, networking, security, or databases
  • Experience supporting production platforms (on‑call, incident response, root‑cause analysis)
  • Hands‑on automation of security or compliance workflows (e.g. vulnerability remediation, scanning, policy‑as‑code)
  • Experience bridging traditional infrastructure with cloud‑native and container platforms
  • Comfortable collaborating across architecture, development, operations, and security teams
