DCM Corporates Europe

About the job:

  • Assist senior DCM Corporates Europe originators in analysing the funding needs and credit fundamentals of BBVA’s European corporate clients.

  • Prepare and supervise client pitches, deal with proposal requests and keep clients up to date with credit market analysis on an ongoing basis.

  • Preparation of regular pricing updates in coordination with Bond Syndicates in Europe and US.

  • Prepare value added materials and identify market opportunities by applying knowledge from various market sources (Bloomberg, macro-economic research, desk analysts, client specific news, etc.)

  • Part of the deal team to coordinate and support deal execution including due diligence, legal/documentation aspects, investor feedback, marketing materials and deal reviews.

  • Provide support and assist in the organization of different events and commercial actions with clients (Webinars, Roadshows, etc.).

  • Build direct cross functional relationships and liaise with other key stakeholders, e.g. Relationship Managers, Syndicate, Capital Solutions, Liability Management, Debt Advisory, Credit Research, Credit Analysts & ESG Credit teams to enhance the cooperation and to generate new ideas to present to our Corporate clients.

What are we looking for?


Experience and Academic Background

  • Prior work experience of 3 year to 5 years in Corporates DCM, covering UK and/or Italy corporate clients.

  • Educated to degree level (preferably in a numerical discipline such as economics or finance).

  • Good understanding of fixed income products and market dynamics 

  • Strong quantitative, analytical skills. Significant understanding of credit fundamentals and balancesheet analysis

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, with key focus Excel and Powerpoint. Financial Modelling

  • Master of Bloomberg tools

Soft skills:

  • Capable of working effectively both independently and with multiple teams/individuals. Ability to prioritize

  • Customer focus with strong communication, negotiation, commercial and analytical skills.

  • Solid professional writing skills.

This position will require the candidate to be FCA approved. In case the candidate is not certified, he/she will have to obtain the pertaining certification upon the incorporation to the role.
Please note that priority will be given to candidates who are eligible to work in the UK.
